Old Bar is the closest surfing beach to Taree and just a 10 minute drive from the Pacific Highway and 16km east of Taree. The location is perfect for swimming, fishing, boating and water sports for the whole family.

With a wide choice of scrumptious eateries, plus a bowling club and tavern, there is always a worthy excuse to dine out. Old Bar has a major supermarket plus a range of specialty shops, so there is almost no reason to leave.

Old Bar beach is patrolled during the summer season and has a very active surf lifesaving club. Surfing and kiteboarding are extremely popular and lessons can be obtained by one of the local schools.

The Old Bar Beach Festival is held each October long weekend and attracts thousands of visitors to the region for a weekend of fun filled festivities in and around the area. In January the Manning Valley Summer Festival is also a highlight.
